I propose a walk in Engelberg, on the edge of the Aa river from Eugensee to Bödmen. Here are some maps to familiarize yourself with where this place is located.

First you get to Talstation Titlis (cable car station) from where you can take the bus directly to Fürenalp. The bus is free throughout the resort.

We go further through the parking lot on the edge of the river.

Here is the Bänklialp bridge back in the distance. On the banks of the river, you can admire Open Source artworks that you can contribute to. Here is my contribution to the top of this pyramid.

Fürenalp Station is reached after going 5 km from the Tallstation. As the road is long, I recommend you take the bus. Once you get here, look at what you can do in the summer:

and what you can do during the winter:

Cross the bridge over Aa and then start the climb on a path to the right. Arm yourself with patience and admire the surrounding scenery. There is no need to rush.

Here are different perspectives of the place to give you an idea of what it looks like.

The current hand has the art of small wooden creatures printed on it.

Here is a view back towards the village.

The strong handrails give you a sense of security, and the steps in both winter and summer are excellent and non-slip.

However, the uphill is tricky if we look ahead, but do not be discouraged. Here’s what this route would look like if you climbed it in winter.

Now, after you’ve climbed far enough, you’ll look down and congratulate yourself that you could climb that far and that you got past the hard part.

Your effort will be rewarded with gorgeous scenery when you reach a clearing. Stunning, both in spring and summer. Here are some landscapes captured in the two seasons.

You are below the peak of Titlis, and as this is a very steep mountain, you can also admire icicles in the spring. Here is also an avalanche from a distance that I hastened to capture. It’s impressive.
We were going up to the Bödmen hut. This is 1324 m high. And here, we can see signs in different directions, where we might be heading.

Now we can see the Titlis peak even better.

We can see on the left a small cable car that helps supply the lodge.

From here, two roads branch off, one that goes down and one that goes on the same level to the Firnalpeli cabin. We go further towards this cabin.

And this is how the road looks if we look back towards the Bödmen hut from the Firnalpeli hut. You can also see the marking we were following.

It is spring, and here is a small tributary covered with snow that we must cross without getting our feet wet. It is slippery and the snow layer is thin at the bottom. We make a detour through the top. Once we get over this more difficult moment, we are rewarded with beautiful views.

If you look up, you will see the glacier with the same name and the waterfalls that form below.

Above, here is the Titlis Massif, which, although it seems inaccessible, we met many skiers who descended from the top of the glacier on skis, which they carried tightly on the side of their backpacks. Here’s how they got here.

Here is the Firnalpeli cabin, which we admired as it is located under the rock, but we did not climb up to it. We move on.

White crocuses are everywhere, and I also saw a purple one. Remark the beautiful water channels.

Here is the peak of Spannort, how imposing it is.

Good. After descending further, we turn to the left about 50 m to admire the waterfall that forms from the Firnalpeli glacier. Because it is still spring, the bridge has not been installed.

Here’s what the same place looks like in summer.

From here, we return to the bus station and the village. The bus throughout the resort is free of charge.
